POSITION OVERVIEW:


Our ideal Content Writer has a strategic marketing mindset and is a savvy wordsmith with a knack for and love of writing great content that inspires, educates, and engages. Most importantly, you’ll know how to use words to motivate and push people to take action!



RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Craft engaging and dynamic content all while staying true to our overall brand mission and message.

  • Collaborate with designers, product marketers, technologists, and fellow content creators to bring about creative solutions that increase engagement and conversion.

  • Produce best-in-class content for a variety of channels and mediums, including but not limited to: emails, landing pages, websites, digital ads, webinars, articles, infographics, social media content, video scripts, immersive experiences, and user experiences.

  • Adeptly wield language to embody multiple voices—including that of executives—and speak to varied audiences including the real estate industry, our 180,000+ agents, office leaders and owners, and consumers worldwide.

  • Collaborate with the content/brand team and key stakeholders to plan, optimize and execute new content initiatives and refresh existing collateral.

  • Benchmark performance/pull inspiration, study analytics, and A/B test to continually improve and refine work, instead of operating on instinct alone.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Journalism, English or a related field

  • A minimum of two years experience writing for marketing, preferably in the real estate, tech, or advertising industries and/or at an ad agency

  • Demonstrable experience producing email and user experience content

  • Familiarity with A/B testing content messaging and optimization

  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions

  • Ability to clearly communicate creative vision to team members or leadership

  • Flawless writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Experience in advertising and promotional copywriting; able to develop fresh, snappy, engaging and well-structured headlines, body copy, and calls to action

  • Experience working with search engine optimization and applying results to content

  • Customer/client interaction experience a plus

  • Excellent editorial judgement

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Self-accountability for meeting deadlines and proactively communicating status updates

  • Writing sample required
