As a Product Manager within our Asset Management division, you would be joining a high-integrity team of solution-driven professionals working to solve challenges from increasing efficiency and improving data transparency to reducing overall costs for customers like state agencies or universities. You will be the “messenger of the market” and lead a cross-departmental effort to define, optimize and evolve our mobile inventory software to a best-in-class inventory management tool. You will develop ideas for product features based on your engagement with our customers and prospects, work cross-functionally to prioritize, implement them and get them to market.

The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of empathy as well as technical skills. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and walking with users (virtually or in-person) through their workflows and day-to-day processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for our products to deliver unique value. You possess an innovative, growth-oriented mindset with keen analytical skills. You have a proven ability to work with internal and external stakeholders towards a common goal and have demonstrated success in learning the nuances of specialized, niche products and their end users. You are committed to improving user experience, defining, and documenting use cases and earning market share.


  • Drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company

  • Analyze market segments and partner with leadership on which to pursue

  • Develop a product roadmap that illustrates our vision and contextualizes our desired market position

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on product positioning and go-live strategies

  • Create user stores for current and future product features based on the market’s problems

  • Manage product lifecycle from sunsetting features to prototyping and testing new features, integrations and ideas.

  • Know why we are winning and losing in the market and drive changes to our products to achieve our goals

  • Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation

  • Analyze consumer needs and current market trends from an ROI perspective

  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes including: product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch

  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and product development

  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI

  • Analyze market data to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization

  • In collaboration with Marketing, develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates AssetWorks solutions across primary market segments


  • 3-5+ years of marketing, development, enterprise sales, technical support, customer success, project management or product management experience

  • 1+ year experience with an Agile team or in an Agile-based environment

  • Systems-thinking and process-designed oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Hands-on with research and discovery; curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with our target prospects and users

  • Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information

  • Able to operate with incomplete information and justify decisions to a range of stakeholders

  • Disciplined, deadline-driven time manager

  • Highly effective cross-functional team management

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong public speaking skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership

  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack/ Microsoft Team, JIRA, and Salesforce


  • Bachelor’s degree in product design or engineering

  • Previous product management or software and web development experience

  • Proven experience contributing to the development of a product in a non-managerial role

  • Demonstrable knowledge in SEM and content/inbound marketing
