Description and Responsibilities
The PC Community Program is a partnership between Austin Resource Recovery, Communications and Technology Management Department and the Digital Inclusion Program to reuse retired City computers for local Austin nonprofit groups. The purpose of this position is to provide a wide variety of support to the Community PC Program to coordinate and monitor computer refurbishment project schedules and milestones. This position will create, develop, implement and evaluate interdepartmental donations of computers and peripherals. This position will assist with inventory of assets received and/or issued by recording identifying information using the appropriate tracking method and providing status updates on variances. This position will also assist with coordination of computer device donations from the community that could be re-distributed to Austin residents. The priority responsibilities of the position are as follows:
Coordinate and monitor computer refurbishment project schedules and milestones.
Inventory Management Coordination.
Coordinate Collaborative Projects and External Communications.
Train and instruct temporary staff and interns
